Mr. V.R. Sharma is CEO & Deputy Managing Director of the Steel Business with Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL).

Mr. Sharma started his career with Arrasate Steel SPA, Spain as Project Engineer. Subsequently he worked with Steel majors like Socialist Steel Ltd Libya, Lloyd Steel Group Company Sipta / Comet Steel, ISPAT Industries Ltd and Bhushan Power & Steel Limited as Joint Managing Director.

Mr. Sharma has played a key role in managing large Greenfield Projects and expansions and driving the growth of the organizations through mergers and acquisitions, creating large business opportunities leading to exponential growth in marketing and operations in global scenario.

He has got his BE (Mechanical) and MBA (Marketing) from the U.K. in the year 1983 & 1987 respectively.

Mr. V.R. Sharma is the Chairman of India Lead Zinc Development Association, New Delhi.
